How to become a member
It is possible to become a member of the Society through individual or Institutional memberships.
Only PhD students, Arts In Opleiding tot Specialist (AIOS), and postdocs can join KNVM through Institutional memberships. A form (see below) has to be filled in by the institute containing the names of the PhD students and/or postdocs who want to become a member of the KNVM. A discount on the memberfee is available for Institutional memberships.
To become a member please fill in membership form and return it to the KNVM secretariate.

Some member benefits:
- Members of the Society can join one or more of the society's divisions.
- They can attend the one-day autumn and three-day spring scientific meetings of the society.
- A reduced subscription rate to BioNieuws . (via membership administration of NIBI/Bionieuws)
- They are eligible to apply for the benefits offered by FEMS .
