Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) remains a major public health concern despite significant progress in understanding the epidemiology of resistance, sources for selection, and the genetic mechanisms involved in both human and animal antimicrobial resistance. This summer, join colleagues from both the animal and human health research communities in Aix-en-Provence, France to network and explore common AMR issues in animals, humans, food and the environment including:
AMR and methodologies (susceptibility testing, experimental approaches) Molecular epidemiology of AMR in animals, humans, food and the environment and comparative prevalence data Ecology of AMR in agriculture and food sector Evolutionary biology and AMR (metagenomics, molecular typing) Usage of antimicrobials and selection of AMR in humans and animals
